TECC is designed for all levels of providers: citizens who become a first care provider, police officers, fire and EMS professionals, hospital based first receivers and all those comprised in the TECC Chain of Survival.
This course provides an overview of civilian high threat medical principles that can be applied by all first care and medical providers during active acts of violence and intentional mass casualty events, such as an active shooter, detonation of explosives, or use of fire as a weapon. The goal is to better prepare our first responders to respond to atypical incidents that involve mass-casualties and preserve life.
The training challenges some long-standing principles of emergency response, and establishes a platform from which to build additional knowledge and skills.
